What is mummy MOT?

Mummy MOT is a complete postnatal check that has been created by physiotherapist Maria Elliot. It is a specialised postnatal examination for women following both vaginal and C-section deliveries. We check your posture, pelvic floor and stomach muscles as well as your general recovery after childbirth.

The consultation is 1 hour and consists of a thorough history, physical assessment including a postural screen, pelvic floor assessment, abdominal muscle separation check and treatment with a home exercise program to strengthen and get you back on track whatever your fitness goal may be.

On your follow up session, we provide education and advice on safe activities, return to exercise guidance and postural help with your daily activities. You will get a bespoke rehabilitation programme with your goals and lifestyle factors in mind.

Every women is different, every birth experience is different and we are here to listen and support you through your recovery.
