During pregnancy your body changes inside and out.
Your ligaments loosen therefor your joints are more mobile and your muscles have to work harder and with the growth of the baby, your centre of gravity moves forward.
You will have to adapt your physical exercise to your stages of pregnancy.
Knowing what exercise to do when is important. Maintaining Some core strength is important to sustain a correct posture and not let your lower back muscles do all the work!
As you get closer to your due date, your pelvis has to give to guide the baby down the birth canal and the pelvic floor muscles have to allow a widening of the inferior pelvic bowl.
As a clinical Pilates instructor with my osteopathic knowledge, I take all this into account when accompanying you through your pregnancy.
Pilates also focuses on the breath during exercise. Breathing out on the effort and breathing in on relaxation. This is key to get optimal activation of your core during your exercises. Focusing on your breath will help you with labour for a more efficient delivery.
Pilates is a great way to keep you moving throughout your pregnancy and also to keep you fit and prepare you for birth.
Pregnancy and both pelvic floor workshop 20th of May 18:00 to 20:00 at The Skylight Centre!
Went twice to see Sophia for back pain. Sophia has a nice touch and explains what she is doing. Wonderful results few days after with the exercises she sent me to practice at home. Highly recommended. Michael Cable
Amazing service and experience for my newborn baby. Eglantine is extremely knowledgeable, health conscious and gentle, and I feel my little girl really benefited from her sessions. Will definitely be back! Ashley Racine
Eglantine is a brilliant Oesto. She has sorted out my chronic shoulder and jaw problems, I now see her regularly to keep me in optimal health. Eglantine will forever be my “go to” person for mine and my families health needs. Paula Felgate
Hightly recommend. Had some treatment here with Sophia, she was fantastic. What I Initially thought was a big problem was easily fixed in two sessions and she gave great follow up exercises. Christopher Phillips
Eglantine is someone I trust with my eyes closed. She is knowledgable, gentle, thorough and loves what she does. I have seen her for treatment many times over the years and I always refer friends. She never disappoints! Highly recommend. Maude Huguet
